WooHoo

Totally forgot about my blog. Decided to do a quick post to say I have started to play a little bit. Am currently going through DMC4 on DMD mode, using my new tag “Ultrono”. Will also be playing GTA4 at some point too, am sick of hearing wok colleagues and mates talk about the game when I haven’t played it myself.

A Quick Message….

Just a quick message to my loyal fans from XBL (whom several of which have emailed me to ask where I have been). Well, a combination of having mountains of work for my job and my part time ‘uni’ course the 360 has taken a firm back seat. Its been close to a moht (at least) since turning it on. All the work has probably done me a huge favor as I was kinda getting into the score whoring mode and wasting way too much of my time. Anyway, toodle pip!

teh update!

Well, I’m bored on a Sunday night so I decided to do a quick little update on the achievements front. Burnout Paradise: have spent close to 80 hours (doesn’t seem that many at all as this game rocks tbh) on this now and only need to do another 51 multiplayer challenges to get 950/1000 (last 50 are vision camera achievements and don’t count, hehe), which I’ll be happy with. I finally played the CSI: Hard Evidence game that has been sitting in my draw for a few weeks now and knocked out the full 1000 in a couple of 3 hour sessions - basically it is a points whoring game and therefore crap. I also have Surfs Up and the Harry Potter game to play for another easy 2000 points, which I’ll do at some point. I can;t see that being very soon as I also bought Devil May Cry 4 at the weekend, it looks amazing, you can level your character up (like games like this) and it has some challenging achievements AND i have Bioshock to play too. I also finally completed the two multiplayer achievements in NBA Street Homecourt today, which I thought would be impossible due to the lack of people that play (or don’t play) online nowadays.

I’ll also be doing a mini help type guide for Burnout Paradise in the next few days to share all the interesting and ingenious ways I did stuff. I also have a map indicating the routes I took to easily complete the stunt runs, that I’ll post soon. For now, toodle pip all!

It’s Over, Finally

Well I have just finished the last achievement from the dullest 360 game so far - Spiderman Friend or Foe. It was a bit of an impulse purchase from me to be honest. I saw it and had images of a game similar to Spiderman 3 or Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Sadly, this is not the case and the game is aimed at a much younger audience. It really was one of the the most linear games I have seen, making it literally impossible to get lost and to miss any of the ’secrets’ (I say this as loosely as possible as its very hard to miss them). Achievements wise its very dull, with 125 gamer points for each chapter completed with all items found. A few more points for upgrading Spiderman , using the credits you get from each level and you’ll be at 925 points in 5 hours easily - this really wasn’t intended as a game I’d use for points, but it was so bad it turned out that way. The last 75 points take at least another hour of playing through the final level a fair few times to upgrade all characters. Anyway, I got the 1000 (how good at gaming am I?) and will be trading this for Burnout Paradise tomorrow. I do have Bioshock sitting on my desk, but this is going on the back burner as Paradise looks amazing - lets hope its a good online as Revenge was. Ah well, toodle pip all!

meh………

Over the last week I have lacked the motivation to do anything really. I’ve done bugger all work for my part time uni course I do in the evenings and am even finding a challenge to go to work. I’ve even just come home an hour early simply because I can’t be bothered.  The fact I’ve been playing possibly the most un-challenging game in the world, namely Spiderman 3: friends or foe (it looked good, what can I say) isn’t helping either.  I’m also highly annoyed by the fact a team wide desk move at work has resulted me with my PC screen facing a bank of desks where several operations managers sit - aka no internet browsing for me anymore. It’s a shame, as before the move I was able to get through the online  CCNA material, giving me more time in the evenings.

I’m now going to get a shower, have some food, watch the rest of The Office (American version) and get an early night. Hopefully, I’ll come in from work  tomorrow night a little more  motivated  and can crack on  with some  much needed work.
